The American Dance Weekend follows on from the Alcester Contra on Friday 6th October, 7:45-10:45pm, featuring Seth Tepfer and Contrasaurus.
This event is organised separately by Meg Winters, as usual.
Important news about the weekend
Parking
Parking for cars at The Greig Hall is made awkward by the fact that parking during the day is limited to 3 hours between 10am and 4pm. We asked the Stratford-On-Avon District Council whether there was any concession for all-day events, and sadly there is not. However, there is quite a lot of on-street parking nearby. In addition, parking on the grassy area to the side of the car park is available without restriction, with care, as it’s owned by the hall trustees.
Please note that the parking spaces along the front wall of the building are reserved for artists, stewards, and organisers; and the parking space down the side of the building is strictly reserved for camper-vans with pre-arranged spaces.
Food & Drink
The weekend is very busy, with little time to go off-site, so we are very pleased to announce that food and hot & cold drinks will be available for you to purchase on site during the mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and lunch breaks on both days, and during the dinner break on Saturday.
Annie and her staff from The Bulls Head Bakers have produced a superb menu for you all to enjoy, so there will be no need to leave the site for good quality food.
All the food will be home-made, and all allergens/intolerances will be catered for.

Water will be available throughout the day, but please bring your own bottles, cups, etc.
Sunday 10K Marathon
There will be a 10K marathon and other events taking place in Alcester from around 10am onwards on Sunday, so it is very important to arrive early, to avoid issues with other visitors competing for car-parking space in the town. Additionally, the town centre will be closed to traffic for an unspecified period, so be prepared for possible diversions to the Greig Hall.
